NAEYC Accreditation
Estrella Family Services has earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children - the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals. According to Mark Ginsburg, Ph.D., and Executive Director of NAEYC "By earning accreditation, Estrella Family Services has become a leader in a national effort to raise the quality of early childhood education, and to help give all children a better start."
The NAEYC Commission that awarded Estrella’s accreditation identified high levels of compliance throughout the center. The Commission commended Estrella’s teaching staff for their warm and positive interactions with the children. Estrella also received high marks for their curriculum, which encourages children to be actively involved in the learning process by providing children with opportunities to explore many developmentally appropriate activities and materials. In short, all of the hard work and effort put forth by staff in providing high quality childcare has been nationally recognized.

Tricia Darrell
We would like to congratulate Tricia Darrell, recipient of the 2004-2005 Fellowship. Tricia is continuing her work on her Bachelor's degree in Child Development.
Summer Swimming
We would like to extend a warm thank you to the generous employees from the Association of Women Employee's at the Santa Clara Valley Water district. This year they donated swimsuits to every child in our school age classrooms. They helped make moments like these possible:
