To honor Ligaya (Gay) Lorilla's twenty six years of dedicated service to Estrella Family Services we have established the Ligaya Lorilla Fellowship fund. Each year, this fellowship will honor staff of Estrella Family Services for their outstanding professional development. These fellows will be models to our staff for their dedication, professionalism and commitment to on-going education. Each fellow will be engaged in professional activities throughout the year and will be sent to a major early childhood or family support conference. The fellows will then present their findings to our staff.

To be eligible a candidate must:

• Have completed at least two years of service at Estrella Family Services
• Have a demonstrated record of professionalism in their work
• Have demonstrated a commitment to on-going education in the field of early care and education or family support
• Agree that after attending a major conference that they will present their findings to the Estrella Family Services staff

This fellowship shall be on-going. (funding permitting) The fellowship may be awarded to one or two staff members. The new fellows shall be announced at the end of each fiscal year. The selection of the fellows will be made by the executive director or his designee.
